Giving back tastes good.

The Big Cook Up was created as a unique and memorable community event bringing together our two greatest assets: our employees and our products. The idea of cooking for the community was a natural fit since producing quality foods unites our employees every day. Through this community engagement program, we wanted to rally employees and provide an opportunity for them to take an active role in giving back.

The Big Cook Up was launched in 2017 in three Saputo sites across Montreal where 328 employees volunteered to cook 7,000 warm and delicious meals for families in need.

In 2018, the momentum is building!

On December 6, hundreds of employees across 13 of our sites in Canada, the United States and Australia took part in The Big Cook Up. Together, we gave more than 20,400 meals back to the community.

The Big Cook Up at the heart of the Brigades Culinaires

La Tablée des Chefs’ Brigades Culinaires program is following suit by deploying The Big Cook Up in 125 high schools across Québec. Their participation allows Saputo to give 50,000 portions of lasagna back to local community organizations who support people dealing with food insecurity.
