Water

Water is a precious resource and is essential to the sustainability of our business and the communities in which we serve and operate. Not only is access to clean water vital for sanitation and other aspects of our manufacturing operations, but our suppliers also rely on sufficient access to quality water to produce milk.

This is why we are committed to using water resources in an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable way and to implementing solutions to reduce water consumption through reusing and recycling. We are also continuously working towards improving our wastewater quality to protect biodiversity and ecosystems.

In FY25, we renewed our focus on water stewardship and established a target to reduce water intensity at operations located in areas of high-water risk by 10%, compared to a FY20 baseline. This target prioritizes reduction at source, monitoring, and capital investments in higher‑risk regions.
