Legacy Program

We are committed to the communities where we operate. As part of this commitment, we invest in improving the quality of sport and health facilities with the objective of building a lasting legacy. Such local projects enable us to promote a healthier lifestyle for families and make a meaningful contribution within the communities where our employees live, work and play.

Through the Saputo Legacy Program launched in 2013, our Company has contributed over CDN $3.5 million toward 80 projects in Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and United Kingdom. Each of these projects fills us with pride. This is why we are always looking for new opportunities to make a real difference in the communities we call home.

CANADA

Saputo Mountain Bike Initiation Track, St-Raymond, Québec

Thanks to Saputo, the City of Saint Raymond installed a mountain biking initiation track.

Saputo Tennis Courts, Torii Park, Vaughan, Ontario, Canada 

Our contribution to the improvement of the three tennis courts located at Torii Park in Vaughan has resulted in the refurbishment of the court surface, new nets and posts, and a new fence meshing.

Saputo Health & Lifestyle Centre, Orangeville, Ontario

Saputo proudly contributed to Orangeville’s new Health & Lifestyle Center at the Alder Leisure Center.

UNITED STATES

Saputo Fitness Center, Rock River Intermediate School, Waupun, Wisconsin, USA

Saputo donated to the Waupun Area School District to fund a new fitness center at the local intermediate school. The donation allowed for new flooring, lighting, drywall and equipment upgrades.

Saputo Park Field Improvements, Murray-Calloway County, Kentucky, USA

We partnered with Murray-Calloway Parks and Recreation to overhaul the 40-year-old main baseball/softball field at the Central Park complex in Murray, Kentucky.

Saputo turf soccer field, visalia, california, usa

The Saputo Legacy Program contributed to the installation of a new turf soccer field located in the Riverway Sports Park in Visalia, California. This new field will provide the community an opportunity to play soccer year-round.

AUSTRALIA

Cricket Training Facility, Allansford, Victoria

Saputo has funded the construction of a new outdoor cricket net at the Allansford Recreation Reserve. This five-lane facility will improve batting practice and training for the 200+ members of the Allansford-Panmure Gators.

Saputo Netball courts, Kiewa Sandy Creek Netball Club, Kiewa, Victoria 

The upgrade of Kiewa’s netball courts has enabled club members to get full use of the facilities and support community sporting activities for years to come.

Saputo Soccer Facility, Cobram Community Soccer Precinct, Cobram, Victoria 

The Saputo Legacy Program contributed to the Cobram Community Soccer Precinct by upgrading the facilities for both players and spectators to allow year-round sport participation and usage. 

ARGENTINA

New Public Green Space, Tío Pujio, Cordoba, Argentina

The main plaza of Tío Pujio was inaugurated in December 2019. By modernizing the one and only town square, this public green space aims to encourage the city’s residents to enjoy spending time outdoors.

Healthy Sports Islands, Tío Pujio, Cordoba, Argentina 

We donated ten pieces of outdoor exercise equipment to Tío Pujio’s Sports Centre to provide a healthy sports space and encourage residents to stay active.
