Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I)
We believe that unleashing the potential of diverse talent will help us innovate faster and achieve greater business results. With the expansion of our global footprint over the last few years, we want to ensure that all employees continue to be valued, and that no one’s growth potential is impacted by the bias of others.
In FY21, we implemented several programs and initiatives to promote DE&I in the workplace, including:
- Unconscious bias training;
- Expanded parental leave benefits;
- Gender-neutral job descriptions; and
- A permanent workplace flexibility program.
In FY21, we joined the Catalyst For Change initiative as part of our commitment to accelerating progress on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Our Chair of the Board and CEO, Lino A. Saputo, joined more than 70 CEOs in publicly pledging to advance more women into leadership positions.
In February 2021, we hosted our first global DE&I virtual event under the theme of conscious inclusion, where our CEO, COO, CHRO and one of our Board members shared their personal journeys and learning experiences around DE&I.
